Firewood Shed (shou sugi ban)

Here are a few pictures of the firewood shed I built using some recycled lumber I had lying around the house and some pallet wood that I used for the side and back slats.

I finished the wood on the shed with the shou sugi ban method of torching the wood to help prevent rot and insects / bugs. After torching the wood I proceeded to stain the side planks red to tie in with our house and oiled the entire shed with some “Log Home Oil” I found on sale at my local hardware store for $25 a gallon.

I am working on a full set of plans for this shed which will be available on this website in the near future. If you would like to be informed when the firewood shed plans are available, please use the contact form below.
